Chaplaincy
|
The chaplaincy exists to provide spiritual, pastoral and religious support to all patients, visitors and staff appropriate to their needs.
Christian chaplains of the Church of England, Roman Catholic and Free Church traditions are employed by this NHS Foundation Trust, as well as chaplains from the Jewish and Muslim faiths. Faith leaders of other world religions can be contacted by the chaplains.
We are always ready to talk and listen to people of any religion or none. |
The chapel and Prayer Room are open 24 hours for the use of anyone who wants to find a place of peace in which to be still, or pray.
Often chaplains notice dimensions of human experience that other healthcare professionals do not. They attend to the hidden spiritual dynamic as well as to religious needs – The Hospital Chaplains Handbook: Cobb, 2005
